KIM COLES ACCEPTS MY 3 DAY JUICE FAST CHALLENGE!!!!

I have been juice fasting ( or feasting) for a little over 2 weeks, ive lost some weight and I look and feel better, I decided to Challenge Kim to a juice fast, I knew she would take me on!!!

She has made this part of her 50by50 adventure...check it out, I think its awesome, I think Ill do something like this when im 39..which will be in a few months!

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE HOUSE...

I visited a brand new consignment shop last month and saw some great furniture and home decor...we need more chairs in the livingroom and I saw these  as soon as I walked in the door...they are very similar to the ones we already wanted except they are MUCH cheaper, they arent real leather but who really cares?..these will do nicely until we get the pricier ones later, the saleswoman told me that these chairs came from the NC State University Library, I kinda like the idea of having a piece of a great North Carolina College in my house plus they were only 60 bucks for BOTH...

I got the glass table at Goodwill for 12$, the amber glass horn is actually a vintage AVON men's after shave bottle, AVON is always extra with the men's bottles for some reason! I loved the color and shape it was 5$ from the same shop as the chairs.

WARDROBE REMIX PARTY!!!!!

Geez!....4 months and no posts!

Lemme explain, ive been wanting to move over to wordpress for a whole new blog, new look..everything...and I just kept procrastinating...an 4 months later NO NEW BLOG....

anyway, I still plan to do it.

The reason for this post is I am hosting a Wardrobe Remix Party, which is basically a clothes,product,purse swap at my home, I want at least 15 ladies to attend, there will be food and wine...details will come later as I get more ladies to sign up and I will send out personal invitations to each person, this is also a small networking event so if you have something to promote bring your business cards!

I may have a giveaway or a goodie bag...im still planning so im not sure.

I live in Raleigh NC so keep that in mind if you want to come...

HOME UPDATES...

A few recent additions to the house...I finally got a comic book rack for my collection, I got this used for 40$ at a display outlet, I have more comics to fill it up...Im going to need another one or a bigger one.


My mom got me this wonderful plant for my livingroom..its the perfect size for the window, I need to figure out what to put on those windows..I dont want curtains and these mini-blinds are awful...stay tuned...


I got this chair at a thrift store for 12$..I really wished they had two, I have been wanting a chair like this for a while...but I didnt want to pay 50-100$ like the ones ive seen in stores..I was excited about this chair..its a perfect fit and the FIRST thing I saw when I walked into the store

We added the orange vases to break up all the black and white in the livingroom...

MY ANTIQUE MIRROR.

let me add that this mirror isnt dirty,its over 100 years old, I got it from my moms antique store..it just happend to have the name CHARLES on it, which happens to be my man’s last name..I got this mirror years before I met him.

HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW.

Just like clockwork, I shave my head every two years for the past 20 years...today was the day, it was hot outside and I was READY!
Here are a few pics I took this evening..

 
I considered leaving it like this, I liked this shape BUT it kinda defeated the purpose and probably would have been just as much maintenance

 So I went ahead and just cut it all...Im not an in between person, its all or nothing..and this is my FAVORITE hairstyle of them all.

 No thats not hair growing outta my back!!! LOL

Im looking forward to getting made up and doing my next photoshoot  with my "new" look..stay tuned

PROGRESS PICS OF THE NEW HOUSE!

 We plan to keep the artwork (all done by me) against wall versus hanging, I like the clean, unblemished walls, and I tend to redecorate at least twice a year...with the walls untouched I dont have to worry about unsightly holes and dents, this will be the overall theme of the house..modern and uncluttered.
For this livingroom area I plan to add roman shades instead of curtains, a few more splashes of color, new end tables that will match our brand new coffee table, a chaise lounge and a fabulous red leather chair, we are also looking for a tripod base lamp...stay tuned.

 This is my 9 year old's room, normally I use navy blues and primary colors for his bedroom, but I wanted something a bit more mature this time but still playful, I ran across the red pull up shade at target and loved it, its a refreshing change from curtains and adds the right pop of color.
The lampshade, rug ottoman and comforter set also came from target, he is really into music now so we made a mix CD together I bought him a radio to play at his bedside, he LOVES air hockey so I got this great miniature air hockey game to enjoy..He also has a separate playroom that I'll share next post.  Im going to add a few custom paintings to his room in the future

The bedroom will def get the modern treatment, I will keep the lamps but we are shopping around for a solid color comforter set..we LOVE the clean look that all white brings to a room, so we are going to go for all white spread and pillows, I love my python textured curtains so we will keep those and add some decorative curtain rods.
In future pics you will see how enormous the bedroom is, I want a large circular rug, new bed tables, and maybe a vanity which Ive always wanted..stay tuned for more pics of the bedroom...
