This is one of my all time favorite songs, for whatever reason Curtis Hairston (one of the greatest singers in R&B history) was never given credit for singinh lead on this song, Curtis (pictured below) was born in Winston-Salem NC and died in 1996 in Winston Salem. Throughout his career he was plagued with diabetes, moving back home to north carolina as his health weakened, he received treatment but sadly died from kidney failure as a result. HE was only 34. I get sad when I think of Curtis his voice was so beautiful..so beautiful that Luther Vandross asked to sing backup on one of his albums..imagine having Luther ask to be YOUR backup singer...what a loss to the music world where singers like this are few and far between.
